DIY New Year’s Crackers

Learn how to create stunning DIY New Year’s crackers with your Cricut, filled with personalised surprises for your guests.

Equipment

  • Printer
  • Scissors
  • Free template from Cricut Design Space (#M100DB0F3)

Ingredients
  

  • Cardboard
  • Cracker snaps
  • Twine or ribbon
  • Vinyl
  • Transfer tape
  • Sticky Tape
  • Double-sided Tape

Instructions
 

Prepare Your Materials:

  • Print your chosen New Year’s artwork from Earthtoune Art onto white cardboard and cut into a rectangle (15,5cm x 9cm). Tip: Always use the "Best" quality print setting for vibrant results.
  • Cut green cardboard into cracker shapes using the free Cricut template (#M100DB0F3).

Assemble the Cracker:

  • Tape the cracker snaps securely to the inside of the cracker template.

  • Roll the cardboard into a cylinder and lock it in place using the provided tabs. Reinforce with tape if needed.

Add the Artwork:

  • Attach your printed artwork to the middle section of the cracker using double sided tape or glue.

Secure One End:

  • Tie one end of the cracker closed with twine or ribbon.

Fill the Cracker:

  • Add personalised fillers such as mini alcohol bottles, sweets, lotto tickets, or cuticle oil.

Close the Other End:

  • Tie the other end closed with twine or ribbon.

Create a Personalized Tag:

  • Cut a banner-shaped tag with a 0.5 cm circle for attaching twine.

  • Use vinyl to personalise the tags with guests' names. Cut the names in BFC Inkly font, weed the vinyl, and transfer onto the tag using transfer tape.
