6 Variations
Carrot No. 1: Roll out the green gum paste using a fondant rolling pin and use a daisy cutter to cut the shape for the top of the carrot. Gently pull the petals to make them slightly longer. Attach using a small amount of tylose glue.
Carrot No. 2: Rub some dark green powdered food coloring over the rolled-out surface. Use rounded nail scissors to cut the gum paste to resemble grass. Apply tylose glue to the back of the straight edge, then roll and squeeze it together so it can be inserted into the hole of the carrot.
Carrot No. 3: Roll 5 small cylindrical-shaped pieces of gum paste.
Fold them in half and squeeze 3 together and 2 together at the fold.
Place the 2 on top of the 3 and squeeze again so that it can be inserted into the hole of the carrot with tylose glue.
Carrot No. 4: Use parsley for a natural and fresh look.
Carrot No. 5: Use dill for a delicate and fine texture
Carrot No. 6: Use rosemary for a unique and aromatic touch.
