- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2/3 cup / 134g / 4.73 oz white sugar

- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
- 1 1/2 cups / 190g / 6.7 oz cake flour
- 1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup / 120ml / 4 fl oz milk
- 2 apples peeled and chopped
Glaze:
- 1/2 cup / 60g / 2.1 oz icing sugar (powdered sugar)
- 2 tablespoons 30ml / 1 fl oz milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175ยฐC (350ยฐF). Grease and flour a 9×5 inch (23×13 cm) loaf tin.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl and set aside.
- In a stand mixer, cream together the white sugar and butter until soft and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla essence.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Add to the butter mixture, mixing until well incorporated.
- Stir in the milk until the batter is smooth.
